iTETRIS scenarios for large scale simulation of Cooperative ITS succesfully presented at ITS World Congress
During the last 16th ITS World Congress which has taken place in Stockholm 21st to 25th September 2009, the iTETRIS consortium has succesfully presented the scenarios for simulation of real-time road traffic management solutions over the integrated wireless communication and traffic platforms developed by the project. The paper presented has also been selected among the 20 most relevant topics for the August/september 2009 issue of ITS Traffic Technology International covering such event.
iTETRIS organises in October a workshop for large scale simulation of Cooperative ITS system at ITST 2009
During the 9th International Conference on ITS Telecommunications iTETRIS will organise the iTETRIS Workshop on large scale simulation of Cooperative ITS. The Workshop will take place on Wednesday 21st October 2009 from 14:00 to 18:30 and will allow attendees to catch up with the latests developments of iTETRIS simulation platform, the requirements set by road authorities from POLIS, experts from the EU projects PreDRIVE, GeoNet and the EC vision on eco-mobility provided by Head of Unit ICT for Transport Mr Juhani Jaaskelainen.
iTETRIS invited to take part in November at Car2Car Forum 2009
iTETRIS has been invited by the Car2Ccar-Communication Consortium to take part in the 3rd Car2Car Forum that will take part 3rd and 4th November 2009. iTETRIS will discuss on 3rd November the main architectural and performance issues observed for support of large scale – city level – simulation of Cooperative ITS traffic efficiency management solution.
iTETRIS will present to road authorities the tool for impact assesment of Cooperative ITS on urban traffic efficiency in December 2009 at POLIS Annual conference
iTETRIS will present at POLIS annual conference the capabilities of iTETRIS simulation platform to evaluate the impact of deploying Cooperative ITS on urban traffic mobility efficiency. iTETRIS project will also discuss how the platform can be used to assess the effectiveness of Cooperative ITS to acquire traffic information and building strong and effective traffic management strategies
